Service Information

Devices

SafeLink Wireless provides free cell phone service for qualifying applicants. The phone models are randomly sent to the customers, depending on the state´s availability. This means that customers cannot choose the model or the brand. All the devices currently provided are smartphones.

If a customer requests a phone with specific characteristics because of a medical condition or any other impediment, the agent can refer the customer to Technical Support for that department to handle the case. Customer Care agents must not provide further information than the phone number. Those inquiries are to be handled only by Tech Support.

Shipping

The shipping and handling of the device and any documentation involved are for free. This means that there will be no mailing charges either to send or receive any paperwork or phones.

The delivery of the device and paperwork will be performed mostly by USPS (United States Postal Service) but, occasionally, it might be sent through FedEx.

Agents may find the carrier as well as the tracking number on the application created on CSR, the tool used to enroll applicants.
