Texas updates
HMO Process
From now on in the state of TX, customers will always be requested to submit proof of program qualification, even if they get enrolled in the service through an HMO. This means that once approved, customers will have some perks, such as getting free calls to their health organization, receive promotional offers, etc., but in order to get the cell phone and the additional features, they will have to submit proofs the same way as a regular applicant.
In order for agents to provide correct information, they will have to pay special attention to the pop up displayed after submitting the enrollment, since depending on the State, the message provided will be different:
- HMO Marketing: If the applicant has to submit proofs, the pop up will indicate that the customer will apply through an HMO, but proofs will have to be provided to get the account approved.
- HMO Full: If the applicant does not have to submit proofs, the pop up will indicate that the customer is whitelisted and there is no need to submit program proofs.
HHW Process
Another implementation that will take place in the enrollment process from Texas is the mandatory completion of the Household Worksheet.
This means that starting on October 12th 2017, every applicant that resides in the State of Texas will have to fill in the HHW correctly to complete the enrollment process. There will be no exceptions and there is no need for a duplicated address to be introduced in the system for this procedure to take place.
Verification process
From now on, Texas will have its own verification department. This means that after a Safelink BO agent processes the documentation submitted by applicants, this information will also be reviewed by the TX BO department for them to carry out the verification process:
- If the proof is approved on their side, the approval process will finish there.
- If the proof is not approved, the applicant will have to resubmit proofs until they get approved by both BO departments.
Income Qualification
This qualification process will now resemble the one in Florida. This means that if applicants decide to apply through income, apart from selecting the appropriate income option, they will have to answer six questions. All answers must be values:
The application will clearly state that the initials must be provided instead of marking the boxes with a regular check:
