IMEI Validation Process
From now on, an IMEI Eligibility Check has been implemented in the SafeLink website to validate the IMEI compatibility with Verizon.
The new feature will apply for enrollments created through the Public Site, and will be found in the Device Info Page, if the applicant selects the I want to keep My own Smartphone plan.

The first step for the system will be to check Verizon coverage for the provided zip code:
- If the zip code has Verizon coverage the applicant will be asked to enter their IMEI number.

- If the IMEI is VALID, the applicant will be informed with a message and the rest of the enrollment process will remain as usual.

- If the IMEI is invalid the applicant will be informed with a message and will be asked to change the Device Type selection.

NOTE: The applicant will be allowed to enter a new IMEI and repeat the process, but they will not be allowed to advance in the flow with the BYOP Device Type selection with an invalid IMEI.
